How to Become a Gynecologist in India?

Gynecology specialty is a highly respected and lucrative career profile. The duration of a gynecology course depends on the level of the course. For a diploma in gynecology, the duration is 2 years. For undergraduate course- the MBBS, the duration is 5.5 years including one-year internship.   • In order to practice as a gynecologist or obstetrician in rural and urban areas of India, an aspirant has to obtain a practicing license. This license is usually issued by the Medical Council Board of the respective state.
